Craggs Cottage is situated in Smailholm Mains working farm in the estate of Mellerstain House, the seat of the 13th Duke of Haddington. With tranquil rolling countryside and only just over six miles from the stunning cobbled market town of Kelso, Craggs cottage is a perfect holiday hideaway for all the family.

The beautiful and historic market town of Kelso, has a lovely cobbled market square and cobbled streets just as pretty as a picture, and a selection of Georgian buildings to boot!
In the surrounding area you will find Floors Castle designed by the architect William Adam, Kelso Abbey, Mellerstain House also designed by William Adam and his son Robert Adam, and Kelso Racecourse.
Try salmon fishing in the river Tweed, and a plethora of out door sports close to Craggs Cottage self-catering Kelso Accomodation.

The cottage is quite charming and fully central heated, with accommodation for a maximum of five people. A cot and high chair are also available should you require them. There are three bedrooms:, one double room and one twin bedroom upstairs and one single bedroom downstairs.
All rooms are well presented and comfortable, and the bathroom has both a bath and a shower.
The kitchen has a proper country kitchen feel with; a Raeburn range cooker, electric hob, oven, washer dryer, microwave, fridge freezer, toaster, kettle, and CD player. Feel at home with everything you need to rustle-up a fabulous dinner after a grand day out.

The cosy comfy lounge has a TV with Sky, DVD and VCR players, and lots of books games and jigsaws for a rainy day. You will be greeted with a welcome pack containing maps and details of the local area.
There is a fire with a basket of logs, to get you going with an idyllic roaring fire. What better way to spend an evening mulling over the days adventure, and planning the next.
The utility room has an iron, ironing board, and vacuum cleaner. In the lawned enclosed garden you will find garden furniture perfect for warm summer evenings, and safe play for the children. Use of a barbecue is available on request. There is ample parking outside the cottage, which is fitted with smoke alarms.
