Smailholm Mains is a working farm on the estate of the 13th Duke of Haddington, at Mellerstain House near Kelso in the Scottish Borders.
Surrounded by stunning countryside right on its doorstep, Jocks Cottage is a fantastic Kelso holiday cottage for all the family.
The lovely Scottish Borders town of Kelso is only just over six miles from Smailholm Mains and Jocks cottage, and you will find travelling there exceedingly easy. Edinburgh and Newcastle International airports provide regular services to all major UK destinations like London, Manchester, Birmingham, and round the world.

Jocks Cottage has a fine view, and a welcoming family atmosphere. There is everything you need for a fun filled family holiday in Kelso accommodation. On your arrival you will find a welcome pack with maps and information on the local area.
The lounge has a TV with Sky, a DVD and VCR, books games and jigsaws to play on a rainy day.
There is a supply of logs to start you off and what better way to spend the evening than relaxing in front of a roaring log fire, with the delicate and fragrant aroma of wood smoke to tickle your nostrils. Heavenly.

This charming Kelso holiday cottage sleeps up to five, and a cot and highchair are also available should you need them. There is a family bedroom with a double bed and a single bed and a twin bedroom both of which are situated upstairs. Both bedrooms are comfortably furnished, well maintained, and have full central heating, which naturally goes throughout the house. The bathroom has both a bath and a shower.

The homely kitchen dining room of this self catering cottage near Kelso has; an electric hob, oven microwave oven, washer dryer, fridge freezer, toaster, kettle, and a CD player: Just about everything you have in your own home to prepare fabulous family meals.
The utility room has an ironing board, iron, and a vacuum cleaner.
Outside Jocks Cottage there is an enclosed garden with a lawn and garden furniture, perfect for summer evenings, and a safe play area for children.
Use of a barbecue is available on request.

Safety is important, and Jocks Cottage is fitted with a fire alarm for your protection during your wonderful stay in this delightful Kelso self-catering accommodation.
